The new HD backrest - 6 kg by H. Dessault for freediving fishing was made with a semi-rigid insert onto which the ballast pockets were sewn. This solution was adopted to prevent the backrest from deforming when used under full load and, consequently, to make it more comfortable. The straps are adjustable and made using marine elastic tape, so they can easily fit any body size. Lo HD backrest features 4 ballast pockets, made of neoprene with anti-cut lining and closable by a Velcro tab. An additional elastic band has been added in the back that can be hooked to the belt ballast or under-horse belt for better stability.
