The Rob Allen Vecta Belt Reel is probably the only true belt reel on the market.The Vecta Belt Reel is designed specifically for belt use and not adapted as is often done for other models. The main feature is that of being able to be placed anywhere on the belt, in seconds, and without the need to remove the ballast or any other item from the belt. This is done by means of a special purpose-molded frame that, thanks to an elastic cord, allows for quick attachment and release. The quick release, coupled with the frame having buoy attachment points, is essential because a big fish could dislodge the entire reel and drag us underwater, or the reel could simply jam. In either case, with a traditional belt reel, we would be forced to unhook the entire belt, resulting in the loss of the fish and the belt itself and all of its component parts!
