The Meandros Mitos 5 is a large vertical development reel with a self-locking clutch. The Fire line takes full advantage of the size/capacity ratio. The coil consists of a plastic shaft and two lightened stainless steel discs equipped with innervations. This provides minimal weight, volume and size, but at the same time great stiffness. The lightened spool allows the wire to dry more easily and prevents rot. The frame is riveted to the bobbin by means of 3-axis spacers which, being positioned around the bobbin, prevent possible tangling of the thread. The reel has an extendable arm, a very important feature that greatly facilitates the rewinding of the line. Another important feature is the line fixing system. The axis of the spool has an angled hole through which the line will be inserted for fastening. The line will pass through the hole and then through another hole in the knob-clutch system, where it will be fixed with a simple stop knot. This system assures the knob-clutch from possible accidental losses and increases the capacity of the reel that is free of knots inside. Easy mounting by simple screws on any wooden rifle barrel, on the trigger guard (both on plastic and stainless), but also on the plastic grips of many commercial models.
